Harley Davidson Vintage Series - 1946 EL Knucklehead

PRINTS AVAILABLE IN THE STORE

I’ve always had motorcycles in my blood and it’s a natural fit for me to combine a passion with my art. I started the first bike off with some exploratory sketches for value and anatomy of the components which were proofed by my good friend Dino in Dauphin, PA for accuracy (if you live in PA, pay him a visit). I know not all components are 100% period correct which is fine for the goal of this project. I imagined how I would like to have a 46 if I could get my hands on one.

Vintage 1946 Harley Davidson EL Sketch for the painting

I’ve spent the better part of the last two months working on the first
painting for a series of vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles. The ’46 EL
is the first out of the studio. I did the original painting in the two-tone
blue and cream vintage style and then repurposed it with a red (more period correct)
and also a black paint.

Prints are available in a variety of sizes and colors. The largest is a beautiful
11” x 17” Giclee print at a great introductory price. We’ve also made available
6” x 8” sketchcards with the printed model/year as individual colors or as a complete set.

I’m working on coffee mugs and other avenues for the artwork that will hopefully be released
before April.

Number two in the series is already on the drawing board. Follow the facebook page, subscribe to the rss feed or newsletter, or follow
on twitter for more information about new releases.
